Seriously the end is near !

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat er wat vooruitgang was, dus bij deze weer een update.

Na wat gefiddle met de assen zijn toch ook achter de steekassen omgetoverd naar 5 gaats (lees 2 dagen bloed zweet en zeker tranen nadat de flens krom was).

Deze zijn toen in de as geslagen. Nee dat ging met een stuk van t spit. Gedeelte stalen koker van ander halve meter.

Voelde me echt net de man met hamer. Heerlijk~

Dat zorgde na wat gepruts tot het volgende resultaat. Hier en daar een stukje veer ingekort en voila. De auto stond zoals het plaatje in het hoofdje.

Nog even langs geweest bij de eigenaar van de schuur want de manta was nu mobiel. Flinstone stijl maar mobiel des-al-niet-te-min.

Dus hebben we 'm op de terugweg van de heuvel af geduwd erin gesprongen en kapot gelachen.

Memorabel moment.

Tijdje daarna de achterkant op blokken gezet om aan de onderkant te kunnen werken.

Samen hebben joel en ik daar de volgende materialen voor bij elkaar kunnen ritselen. Wat plaatstaal voor de watts link, stalen gedraaide bus, het lager , de uniballs en erboven de lasbussen om de uniballs aan de stalen assen te kunnen bevestigen. Niet te vergeten de stalen bout om het geheel aan het differentieeldoppie te kunnen monteren.

En dat allemaal voor nog geen 50 eurie =D. (Foto's van het geheel komen volgende keer).

Daarnaast heb ik nog wat motorspeelgoed gekregen dus daar is ook weer wat gebeurd. De injector zit er nu op met de uitlaat spruitstukken. De hele kabelboom is er ook al dus nu is 't een beetje zoeken naar een mooie passende radiateur.

Remmerij zoeken, cardan is er al, bijna tijd voor de testrit =D !!

No serieus, it did come off... the thing you're lookin' at is the inside of the trunk and cabine...

why oh why oh why..

Becouse I spend a daytrip to the northern part of holland, By public transit (8 horribly slow hours)...

Wich the untrained eye might also recognize as the missing part. The sidescreen.

In our yet uncompleted attempts at restoring the side finally started to take some shape in the good direction with this. An complete sidefender with all the nice curvies and roundings.

So after an horrible day today this baby did a reasonable job of chearing the both of us up so homecoming could be as good as the day starter.

But that is not all!

The rear axle is finally on his way, half mounted, the front is on wheels, with disks and all.

So there has been some progress since last writings.

Nothins really finished yet but 'l automobile is nearly getting ready to stand on all fours.

eaven the ride hight with the old springs came out pretty nice in the front. The upcoming weeks will be about getting the sides reasonably straight en mounting the rear wheels.

And the diskbrakes behind the wheels. I know these aren't the previous announced wheels... after some exchange of words we agreed on some scrapyard stuff. So after lookin' all over this came up. Traded in them old 4 holed wheels so these 5 bud suckers could be fitted.

Not shabby if I say so myself.
